CAMP SITES
Gully Retreat
This is a quiet, secluded area of the Bookookarara paddock all to yourself. The retreat is bounded by a gully and tall gum trees on one side and opens out to pasture on the other. Around the bend there is a large dam where wildlife can be seen at various times of the day. A charming spot for lovers of peace and quiet, and avid bird watchers will always find feathered friends twittering nearby.
Artists View
This site is a bit above the creek with an open area looking across paddocks to the east and trees to the west where you can hang a hammock or two. There are granite rocks under the trees. Shady and quiet, it is just a few metres from the river in a wide open paddock.
Rory's Lookout
Campsites are spread out along a ridge overlooking mountains. The campsites at Rory’s are the closest to the view and this is reflected in the price. There are walking and mountain bike tracks throughout the surrounding 200 or so acres of bush land. Vehicles that are long and without a good turning circle would be best in the long paddock nearby or in any of the other sites because the area is heavily treed.
Eagle Point
Eagle Point Campsites are spread out along the ridge overlooking mountains. These campsites have access to beautiful views of the Australian bush. Wombats, Wedge-tailed Eagles and pretty-faced wallabies are just a few of the native species that frequent the area. Bike tracks through the bush are close by.
Secret Spot
This site is tucked away in a part of the Dam paddock. It borders a gully and is well away from other camping spots and has space to spread out.
Dam Paddock
These sites are situated above a large dam in an open paddock with forests in the margins. A very picturesque area where wildlife love to feed. They are excellent sites for large vehicles and are ideal for children with a lot of energy and curiosity to explore the surrounding rock areas. Good for campers with dogs also, if they like swimming.
Long Paddock
Stunning sunsets! This is, as the name indicates, a long paddock of open country to the west with views across cattle grazing in paddocks. To the north and east, your campsites are bounded by eucalyptus forest where you can explore the bush. A good area for large groups or combined groups. The long paddock is about 20 acres. Fallen timber may be cut and used for campfires.
Creek View

Bush Paddock
On the edge of bushland, there are two large sites separated from others by a fence on one side and forest on the other. These are perfect for privacy and if you want to be away from other campers. There is a watering trough that wildlife use, so don’t be surprised if you wake up to the sight of wallabies and kangaroos drinking.
The Rocks
Stonepine Ridge’s Stonehenge! Beautiful granite rocks on a hill among eucalyptus, that light up in the setting sun. Kids’ love playing and hiding among the huge boulders. A fun place to let the imagination fly. Not only for kids!
